You make your own basil pesto which is full of delicious fresh flavors and use ripe heirloom tomatoes which add beautiful color to the top of the pizza and flavor. You won’t regret making this pizza and your guest will LOVE YA!

Heirloom Tomato Pizza

Ingredients 

  • Pillsbury Pizza Crust
  • Burrata or Fresh Mozzarella
  • 5-6 Heirloom Tomatoes

Basil Pesto 

  • 1 Cup of Fresh Basil
  • 1/4 Cup of Parmesan Cheese
  • 1/4 Cup of Olive Oil
  • 1 Clove of Garlic
  • 2 tbsp of Pine Nuts
  • Salt & Pepper to Taste

In your food processor add all ingredients above and chop until well blended into a pesto. There really is no exact measurements here you can add more of anything your taste buds screams for while tasting. Homemade Basil Pesto

 

Pre-heat your oven to 400 degrees. Bake your crust  for 10 minutes until dough is becoming firm (make sure your bottom of your crust doesn’t burn) this will be going back in the oven and pull out of oven. Spoon your basil pesto onto your pizza dough and place your burrata on top of pizza.

Add Your Burrata

 

Put back in oven for 10-12 minutes until crust is golden and cheese has melted. Pull out oven and top with your sliced heirloom tomatoes. Sprinkle with a tiny bit of Sea Salt & Pepper and serve immediately. Welcome to simple deliciousness!
